First Step of a Journey

This is my first time blogging, and I am very excited!

An aspiring photographer and author, I’ve been writing since I was eight years old. I wanted to express my feelings and thoughts, so I turned to blogging. My desire was to write about a fun but interesting theme that I thoroughly enjoy, and nature fit my description.

While this blog features nature, I will, once in a while, blog on interesting thoughts I may have. I may also include original stories and ideas.

The main goal for this blog is to pass on my passion for nature’s beauty to the reader. Being able to notice just how wonderful and exquisite the tiniest things in nature can be is really eye–opening. Photography of wildlife has allowed me to see that nature is, in reality, ‘supernaturally natural.’ Every detail works perfectly.

Our machines work nicely; some perfectly. But none can amount to the perfection and beauty of nature. Our machines don’t always obey the maker; nature constantly obeys its Maker.

I don’t doubt it, nature has its flaws. The Creator had, however, no flaws. Therefore He did not create our world with flaws. They entered our world––by His permission. Why did he permit it? It was part of his plan. The ‘perfect imperfections’ in our world allow us to relate to our surroundings.

As an example; (slightly childish, but everyone loves Legos, right?)

Imagine you are making a Lego house. You stick a little chandelier up there, give it two or three floors, give it a gate, some pillars…it’s a huge clean house, worthy of a king. But once everything is furnished just right for the master of the house, with the fountain in the courtyard and a big lawn for a couple of sleek Great Danes to romp around in––you place a little hobo in the master bedroom! Just a poor chap, a Lego man named Bob with a hat, torn clothes…unkempt. Do you think Bob would feel at home in this wonderful house? Bob is dirty, poor; if I were Bob, I wouldn’t feel at home.

That is why nature is so simple. We are like Bob the Lego man: poor, dirty, lonely. If nature were perfect, we would feel terribly unwelcome. But nature isn’t perfect, and neither are we! I believe that is why humans enjoy nature so––neither is perfect, but both are, in truth, fearfully and wonderfully made.

Thanks so much for reading, and I hope you enjoy my other posts from thinksterblog!
